Launched in October 2023, the Royal Initiative for Direct Social Assistance marks a major step forward in the reform of social action, under the Reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him.
This initiative continues and strengthens the Royal efforts in favor of citizens’ dignity and of a society built on the values of solidarity and social cohesion — across categories, generations, and regions.
The High Royal Directives, delivered on the occasion of the opening of Parliament in October 2023, form the foundational basis of the mission of the National Agency for Social Support in implementing this initiative:
“Giving substance to the values of social solidarity that Moroccans carry in their DNA, We have decided not to limit this program to family allowances alone, but also to ensure that it benefits certain vulnerable groups within society. This support program is intended for school-age children, children with disabilities, and newborns. In addition, it is dedicated to poor and vulnerable families without school-age children, particularly households responsible for elderly persons.”
