ANSS, the State body responsible for the management, monitoring, and evaluation of Direct Social Assistance

Established by Law 59.23, in line with the High Royal Directives, the National Agency for Social Support (ANSS) is a public institution with legal personality and financial autonomy. It operates under the supervision of the government authority responsible for the Budget, and its governance is overseen by a Board of Directors chaired by the Head of Government.

This Board is composed of representatives from the ministerial authorities responsible for the Interior, National Education, Health and Social Protection, Employment, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, as well as the Budget, and the High Commission for Planning (HCP), in addition to three independent directors.

ANSS serves as the State body responsible for the management, monitoring, and evaluation of Direct Social Assistance programs, based on a social model rooted in dignity, equity, and inclusion. It reflects the determination to contribute to the reform of the national social support system, in line with the broader effort to generalize social protection.
